TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read the following terms and conditions before submitting course registrations. By submitting your registration, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions by 1 ALO Medical Holdings Pte Ltd (“ALO”).

Course Policy

  1. Course registration is only confirmed after full payment is received.
  2. Participants are expected to have read the eManual, watched the online eLecture videos and completed the online non graded MCQ questions prior to attending the course.
  3. Participants must fulfil 100% course attendance to be eligible for the following assessments:
    (i) Written Assessment (80% to pass)
    (ii) Practical Assessment

Withdrawal and Refund Policy

An administrative fee of S$30 applies for course withdrawals and/or fee refund.

Request for Withdrawal for Instructor Led Classroom Training
Withdrawal request received at least 20 working days before course start date 100% refund of course fees.

A S$30 administration fee applies.

Withdrawal request received less than 20 working days but before the course start date 50% refund of course fees

A S$30 administration fee applies.

Withdrawal request received on or after the course start date No refund
Request for withdrawal for Blended Training 
Withdrawal request received at least 20 working days before course start date 100% refund of course fees.

50% refund if trainee has attempted online learning

A S$30 administration fee applies.

Withdrawal request received less than 20 working days but before the course start date 50% refund of course fees

25% refund if trainee has attempted online learning

A S$30 administration fee applies.

Withdrawal request received on or after the course start date No refund
  1. Course application fees are non-refundable.
  2. Course registration is non-transferrable. Transferring of accounts between learners is strictly prohibited.
  3. No refunds will be granted for withdrawals once the course has started. There will be no refund for any unconsumed portion of the paid fees.

Attendance/Re-scheduling

ALO places great importance on ensuring that learners get the full benefit of our courses. Similarly, learners are expected to take responsibility for their learning journey.

  • We encourage full attendance for all classes. A minimum attendance of 100% is required.
  • Learners who fail to fulfil 100% attendance for a module will be ineligible to take the assessments for that module
Request for rescheduling of sessions to fulfil 80% attendance
Rescheduling is free-of-charge for recognised absences with supporting documents of the following:

  1. Medical Certificates
  2. Reservist
  3. Court Appearance
  4. Bereavement of immediate family members (parents, parents-in-law, siblings, spouse, and children)
Rescheduling fee beyond the allowable recognised absences:

S$50.00

(Rescheduling is allowed once per course)
The above rescheduling policy also applies to change requests of coaching/assessment session timings

Class Cancellation

ALO reserves the right to cancel, postpone or make changes to course schedule. Applicants will be duly notified, and given an option to reschedule the course on the next available date, where applicable.

Model Release

As a participant of ALO courses, you grant ALO the irrevocable rights to use images captured in photos, videos or any other media form that may include you in whole or in part in any media indefinitely. Such media may include but is not restricted and limited to electronic direct mail, marketing collateral, print advertisements, posters, illustrations, and social media platforms. You hereby agree to release and discharge ALO, its employees and/or appointed photographers from any and all claims and demands that may arise out of or in connection with the use of the photographs, including without limitation any and all claims for libel or violation of any right of publicity or privacy.

Learning Environment

Safety is our utmost priority at ALO. Our training is conducted in accordance with Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC) guidelines in a safe and conducive environment. In the event of an accident, ALO and its employees and/or contractors will not be held liable for any injury, loss or damage, including but not limited to suffering and death that may arise either directly or indirectly from the training sessions.

Punctuality

Any participants who are more than half an hour late for the class will be deemed as absent and not allowed to join the course. Refunds will not be given.

Declaration of Medical Conditions

Participants with medical conditions are strongly advised to seek their doctor’s advice before attending the course.

Participants with a valid Doctor’s Medical Memo which excuses them from strenuous practical components can be exempted from the practical examination. Such participants will be issued with a Letter of Attendance on the following conditions:

(i) 100% attendance
(ii) Attend both theory and practical training sessions
(iii) Pass the Theory examination within the 3 given attempts

Note: Letter of Attendance does not constitute being Competent/Passing the First Aid Programme.

Assignment Deadlines

  • All ALO’s Instructor Led Classroom Training include a substantial component of self-directed learning. Learners are expected to complete their preparation work by reading the course noted before the scheduled course date
  • All ALO’s blended learning courses require learners to complete their E – learning before attending their Instructor Led Classroom practical and assessment.

Participant Conduct and Disciplinary Action

ALO reserves the right to take disciplinary action against academic dishonesty (including but not limited to the act of cheating or forging of documents) and/or disruptive learner behaviour, that may result in expulsion from the programme without refund of course fees.

Re-assessment

If a participant is deemed “Not Yet Competent (NYC), the participant can request for a one-time reassessment within five working days from the date of the last assessment.

Request for Reassessment

“NYC” is awarded on 1st Attempt

The participant will have to restart the entire course. Full course fee will apply. 

Processing time for a Re Assessment is 10 working days or at the earliest possible time slot, at ALO’s discretion. 

 

If no request is made, the learner would be deemed to have dropped out of the course. No refunds will be provided.

Assessment Result Appeal Process

A participant who is deemed NYC by the Assessor can file an appeal against the assessor’s decision within three calendar days from the date of release of the results. An administrative fee of S$80 for an appeal.

If the Chief Instructor/Programme Director determines that the NYC status should be upheld, the learner can choose to drop out of the program or request a reassessment by paying for the reassessment fees at the following fees : 

  1. CPR + AED Course : S$ 30.00 
  2. BCLS + AED Course : S$ 50.00 
  3. Basic First Aid + AED Course : S$ 50.00 
  4. Standard First Aid + AED Course : S$ 70.00 
  5. Child First Aid + AED Course : S$ 80.00 
  6. Emergency Medical Responder Course : S$ 350.00

Upon ALO’s committee review, the decision will be final.

Certificate

All SRFAC courses are valid for two years. You are encouraged to renew your certificate with ALO three months before the expiry date.

To download your certification, log into alomedical.com.sg and click on the download certificate. Your certification will be available 1-2 weeks upon the completion of the final assessment.

By registering for the courses conducted by ALO, you are deemed to agree to ALO’s Terms and Conditions as set out above.

ALO reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions without prior notice, and any amendments made will be enforced with immediate effect.
